Review of the implementation and operation of the statutory Food Hygiene Rating Scheme in Northern Ireland

The Food Hygiene Rating Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 (the Act), places a duty on the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to conduct a review of the operation of the Act throughout Northern Ireland (NI) within three years of the commencement of the statutory Scheme.

This report contains the findings from a holistic review of the implementation and operation of the statutory Food Hygiene Rating Scheme (the Scheme) in NI between October 2016 and October 2019.
