Safe and Effective Staffing Legislation in Northern Ireland Consultation

The Department is consulting on proposals for the introduction of safe and effective staffing legislation in Northern Ireland. The consultation sets out proposals under four headings –

• Guiding Principles of Safe and Effective Staffing
• Workforce Planning
• Common Staffing Method
• Reporting and Monitoring Arrangements

We are seeking feedback from stakeholders which will help inform the final policy position and drafting of a Safe and Effective Staffing Bill.
