The NIHCA exists for the personal, vocational and professional well being of healthcare chaplains, thereby equipping them to exercise a more holistic ministry
Aims:
- to support and equip healthcare chaplains in carrying out their roles
- to provide a forum for sharing opinions and increasing knowledge
- to keep up to date with best practice and disseminate this information
- to facilitate and provide appropriate training for chaplains
- to encourage continued professional and vocational development
- to encourage theological and pastoral reflection
- to be a representative and consultative body for chaplains
- to establish and promote good working relationships with religious and
- other organisations/services concerned with healthcare
- to promote public confidence in healthcare chaplaincy
